The Essenburg family founded Quality Car Wash in 1969 at 523 West 17th Street in Holland, Michigan. Since then, the company has expanded to encompass a total of seven locations across West Michigan, providing a diverse range of services in Holland, Muskegon, Grandville, and Grand Rapids. In Muskegon and the four Holland spots, customers can access gas stations, convenience stores, vacuums, and express car washes. The Grand Rapids facility (Tommy’s Express Car Wash & Quick Lube) offers quick lube services, express car washes, and vacuums, while the newest Grandville location (Tommy’s Express Car Wash) boasts a cutting-edge express car wash and self-serve vacuums.

In December 2012, Quality Car Wash collaborated with Tim Hortons to introduce a full-service Café & Bake Shop at the North Town and Waverly locations in Holland. Additionally, a selection of Tim Hortons' products can be found at Holland’s South Town and Muskegon’s Sherman locations, including their renowned coffee.
